The Australian Society of Magicians has a number of branches each known as an "Assembly". This branch or assembly is known as "No.1 - Melbourne". Others have been established in other areas and States. Not all are currently in action. The reason for most of those who are in recess is brought about by magicians moving away from the area leaving too few to maintain an active club.
